The Story

Meet Deyv Thorp. He is just an average ten year old kid that gets abducted by aliens in chapter one. In chapter three, which is 5 years later, we see what has been done with Devy. Follow him, and his friends, as they escape from the bonds of being held captive.

About me?

I’m an artist and musician. I worked as a computer colorist from 1995 to 2000, mostly for Image. I got my first break working at Rob Liefeld’s Extreme Studios in 1995. After leaving there in 1996 I did freelance work for Jim Lee’s Wildstorm Studios on a book called Grifter. Then Mark Silvestri’s Top Cow on one of his books called The Darkness. Then with Jim Valentino on a series called Altered Image. Other freelance work took me away from Image on books like Ash, Pitt Crew, Black Panther and much more.

In 1999 the comic book industry was on a downward slide and I made the decision to leave the industry. I decided to get into computer networking. Needing training to get into the field, I went back to school. It was during this time that I came up with the original idea for the story of Deyv. I did a few drawings of some of his friend and foes. Eventually I set the story aside. I didn’t have the resources to publish a real copy of my book and I had no idea of what web comics were. Over more than the next decade I would draw a few characters and update designs. In 2010 I took a hiatus from art and concentrated on music in spare time. In 2014, while planning to move from our home of the last 16 years, I made the decision to finally do something with this story that had been floating around in my head for years. a conscious decision was made to spend a year developing the story. Refining the look of the characters and the details of the plot line.

So here you go. Not Of This Earth. I hope it is as fun for you to read as it is for me to create.
